New safety measures in Xbox 360 ‘Slim’

With the old Xbox 360 reputation, Microsoft have taken the safety of the heat seriously this time. Instead of the old RRoD system, they’ve implemented a system whereby if the sensors in the Xbox sense that the temperatures are too high, the automatic shutdown feature will kick in. A message will appear on the screen before the shutdown: “The Xbox 360 is shutting down to protect the console from insufficient ventilation. You can turn the console back on after the power light stops flashing.”

This should help to regain the 360’s reputation, also with a new sleek and well ventilated design – the new Xbox should go down very well with consumers.
