Noctua NF-S12B Fan Review – A Closer Look!

Now let’s take a closer look at the fan and packaging.

front-packaging
The fan is boxed in the usual Notua style. Minimalistic yet effective. To the right, the main features of the fan are bullet pointed and the fan is seen from the outside thanks to some transparent plastic. Towards the bottom, the website and “sound optimised premium components” are separated from the rest. The logo is of course on the top left as it has been in the past on Noctua fans. Nothing unusual here!

mini-specs-on-box

As  mentioned, the main specifications of the fan have been put in a section on the top right along with the model number. Very sleek so far!

open-box

Noctua have included graphs. stats and more details on specific technology featured in the fan. This is hidden by Velcro and attached to the rear of the packaging. At the bottom. there is also a list of awards this particular fan has received. Premium products with premium packaging – a nice touch by Noctua.

specs-on-box

On the back packaging, a table similar to the one on the previous page shows the key statistics of the fan including static pressure, acoustical noise and RPM speeds.

unboxed

Unpacked, we can Noctua have included just about every accessory we need! It includes an low noise adaptor (L.N.A) and a ultra low noise adaptor. It also includes a 3 Pin fan to 4 pin molex adaptor as well 4 fan screws and 4 Vibration Compensator’s.

fan-front

As always, the fan is vibrant as every with the typical Noctua colour scheme. Love it or hate it, it’s here to stay! Vibrant colours are being endorsed by just about everyone now with the Akasa Apache’s and the Coolink SWiF2 series of fans we previous reviewed.

fan-back

The back of the fan shows the bevelled blade tips to the features on this fan. This is one of many industry leading designs these fans feature and just how effective these are will be shown in the results!

braided-fan-wire

Something we love at HWS, braided cables. It’s something certainly worth paying the premium for considering it adds the touch of class to a rig! Furthermore, it makes the fan just feel that much more sleek and professional compared to the competition.
