CoolIT ECO A.L.C. CPU Liquid Cooler Review – Packaging and Contents

Now let’s take a look at the packaging of the unit.

eco-front
The outer packaging is dominated by two main colours, black and white. The simplistic and minimalistic approach gives the product a sleek feel to it. On the top right is the CoolIT systems logo and in the middle is the name of the unit in a rather fancy font. Below that, the abbreviation “A.L.C” is expanded and the last piece of information tells us compatibility. One thing to note is that it’s compatible with all current sockets, unlike the H50 which required a purchase before finally being bundled with one at the release of the second revision, the H50-1.

One the rear side of the box, CoolIT have provided a diagram of the main features of the unit. These include technological advances such as the inclusion of the fluid heat exchanger in the pump and the fact that CoolIT’s own thermal paste is applied for easy installation and to make the experience as simple as possible. Furthermore, emphasis is made on the fact that this unit requires no maintenance in the duration of it’s life cycle whatsoever. Towards the bottom, on the left and right, are Intel and AMD logos used to provide emphasis on the fact that the unit itself off maximum compatibility.

eco-side

Both sides of the packaging have the same design, the CoolIT systems logo on the top right and the model name in the middle. Overall, the packaging looks very sleek and the information that one would require is arranged on the packaging in an ordered and thought out manner.

eco-inside

Upon opening the unit, we are greeted by two main sections of polystyrene. This certainly will put keep some fears at bay amongst users worried against damage in transit. There is no way this unit could even receive a scratch the way it is packaged! The pack of packaging on the Corsair H50-1 was shocking when we tested it, no polystyrene was used whatsoever and we felt the unit’s condition was in the hands of the couriers!

eco-inside-1

The foam has areas which have been cut out. These house the AMD fitting for the pump as well as the relevant back plates for each and every current socket.

Now let’s take a closer look at the unit itself!
