Corsair’s new 3GHz capable RAM announced
Corsair’s new RAM, the ‘Dominator GT GTX6′, said to be capable of 3GHz, is sure to amaze you enthusiasts out there!
Corsair have recently announced some new RAM, the ‘Dominator GT GTX6′ series – the 1GB modules are said to be capable of breaking the 3GHz barrier! According to this blog, 2,976MHz has already been reached.
Corsair have said that 3GHz might not be capable whist running two 1GB modules – 2,600MHz is said to be the highest 2x1GB clock found stable so far. For maximum reassurance, they have announced that to be certain of reaching 2,625MHz, you’ll need specific CPUs, namely the Intel Core i7 870 and 860s. Accompanied by a Gigabyte P55 board with an F10 BIOS.
